"Roxy, its time to go to the V-E-T !" Told by Lili and Roxy

"Lili, what's the VET?"

"Oh, it's, um, a place where other pets go to, um, meet this awesome person called the vet. Yeah, the vet, short for veterinarian."

"Oh and so we'r- Oh, hey there!"

"Roxy, who are you talking t- Oh."

"Exactly. But, we didn't know you were reading this conversation, but, eh. "

"Well, here's how to tell who's who."

 ☕️- Lili

🍗- Roxy 

🍗- Better?

☕️- Better.

🍗- Okay, so keep telling me about this legendary person called “THE VET”. 

☕️- They give you a checkup to prevent sickness, or if you’re sick, they make you all better.

🍗- How?

☕️-  By giving you something.

🍗- What?

☕️- Do you want me to ruin this awesome conversation?

🍗- It can’t be that bad.

☕️- If you say so. Well, they give you something called a shot. Or medicine. Medicine is much better. 

🍗- What do they look like?

☕️- Here’s medicine:

 ☕️- And here’s *gulps* what a shot is:

🍗- *gasps* Wait, what?

☕️- Roxy, you’ll understand this more when you go to the vet, okay?

🍗- Meh. It can’t be that bad.

☕️- Don’t say I didn’t warn you...

3 HOURS LATER (12:30 PM)

☕️- Roxy, it’s time to go to the V-E-T!

🍗- Yay! *sings* I‘m going with my family! I’m going with my family! Yeah!

AFTER THE VET...

🍗- It wasn’t that ba- ouch!

☕️- What is it Roxy?

🍗- Where they put that “needle” is now sore!

☕️- Don’t act like I didn’t warn you...

🍗- *Rolls eyes* Seriously?

☕️- *Says in sassy voice* Mhmm. 

🍗- *Rolls eyes once again*

🍗- Well, I guess I could still chase my tail for a little bit.

4 hours later

☕️- Roxy, are you gonna stop chasing your tail?

🍗- Oh yeah. *stops chasing tail* I forgot about that. *sits down*

☕️-Well, I hope you liked our story readers!

🍗- *whispers* They’re still here?

☕️- *whispers back* Of course they are.

🍗- Oh.

☕️-  Well,

🍗-Now it’s time,

☕️🍗- That  we say goodbye.

☕️🍗- We hope you come back  for more stories soon!

Today Roxy's Going to Play With: Laser Lights?!?!

So, you might think that I'm insane after reading the title of this blog post. But, it a NOT real, dog- penetrating laser  that you see in the movies. You can breathe now? Good. Now stay relaxed, and let's get on with this blog post. 

Thanks to our good friend Robby, we had a laser light to borrow (You can buy one at PetSmart for $5 here) so I could be able to write this post right now.

Now, we all know that cats love laser lights, but do dogs act the same way?


Turns out, they do.

Roxy was all over the place.
She seemed to enjoy it.
I quote, "She seemed to enjoy it."

Turns out, dogs can go crazy by playing with laser lights because they never have the satisfaction of catching the red dot. 

Sure, it might be a workout,

Or it might be hilarious, 

But as pet owners, we have to care about our pets.

So, since that day, Roxy hasn't played with laser lights.

But,  if you just want to try it out once, click here to buy one. 

Every once in a while you can play with laser lights, but if it becomes a daily routine, your Playful Penny may turn into a Crazy Callie.

Dog Hacks: For Real or Fraud?

     AAAAAAANYWHO, You're probably thinking,"Life Hacks on a blog about a dog? Um, Liliana, didn't you realize that by now?"
     And yes, I did realize that by now.

     And THAT'S the reason why I'm doing dog life hacks.

      So, I will test out a dog hack or two today.

Dog Hack Numero Uno:

Put a ball in your dog's food bowl if he or she eats too fast.

10:19 AM - Now, I sort of get the concept of this one. The dog is forced to move the ball around in order to eat the food. Or are they? If the dog is smart, they might just pick up the ball, take it out of the food bowl, and continue on with eating their food normally. I would like to see if Roxy is this dog. So later today, we'll find out.

Furry Fourth of July!

  


   Okay, okay, first things first. I'm so sorry that I have not posted in a few days. But, because of this, I realized I won't always be able to write every day, so I will try to write 2-4 times a week. I know, I'm sorry for news like this now, but I knew that I had to tell you in this post rather than waiting.

     Now lets really start this blog post.

     I know what you're thinking after you saw the title of this blog post. 

     Fourth of July? That was what, two weeks ago? That's old. Probably forgot to post it."

     

      Note: Remember I couldn't have posted it. I started my blog on July 9th. 

     
    But ANYWHO... It can't be too late for a 4th of July story, right? This was one of my favorite memories with Roxy, so, to me, it's not too late.

      Let's just get on with it.

      

      Oh yeah, and Roxy's gonna help me with this post

     But here's how to tell who's who.

🐶- Roxy

😜- Liliana

😜🐶- Both

😜- It was about 9:30 PM on the crisp, cool night of the 4th of-

🐶- Actually, it was the 2nd. There just happened to be a-

😜- Shhhhhh! You’re going to spoil the entire story! And quit being a wise guy!

🐶- Fine. Just get on with the story. 

😜- ANYWHO... Dad went to feed the birds while all of us (except for Roxy and Walli) got ready for bed. But, he heard something.

😜🐶- Fireworks.

🐶-At the time, I didn’t even know what fireworks were. 

😜- But Roxy was about to find out what they were.

🐶- So dad told everyone to get out of their PJs and into decent clothes. Mom was in her normal clothes, Lili changed into a short sleeved shirt with a sweater and some capris, and Cristina stayed in her pajamas. Then Lili axed whe-

😜- ASKED, Roxy. A-S-K-E-D. You’re not going to axe someone. Then you would kill them.

🐶- And I was being a wise guy.

😜- Whatever. 

😜- So once everyone was ready to go, we took Roxy out of the back.

🐶- I was confused. They never took me for walks at a time like this.

😜- But somehow we managed to get her out and onto the leash.

🐶- By now, we were all ready and walked to where we could see the fireworks through a totally not crowded spot.

😜- (If we explained this part to you, you would probably have to read it over a few times, and/or get a headache)

🐶- So we went to the fireworks, some other people were there, and I started to bark.

😜- And we thought, “ Why is Roxy barking?”

🐶- I was just too overjoyed.

😜- I sat near Roxy, petting her.

🐶- It was AWESOME!

😜- So we went home overjoyed.

🐶- And fell asleep feeling full with happiness.

😜- Roxy, lets say this together

🐶- ‘Kay. And that was..

Cristina And Me! (Funny Story of the Day!) Told by Roxy

     As you may or may not know, another one of my owners is Cristina. She is just a 15 month old baby, although she loves me more than her older sister Lili at times. But, at times, when my other two owners, Mommy and Daddy, let my other owner Cristina (who most of the time I consider a sister) come in the back of the living room where I live, we've had some pretty funny stories to tell. And since Lili hasn't told you them yet, I will, Roxy. You will get the real, true story from me, not my eldest sister Lili. Plus,  Cristina would probably try to tell the story, but this is how it would end up looking like:

     And so on. 

     So here's a funny story we've had recently. 

     Once upon a time...

     Scrap that.

     In a land far, far away...

     Nope.

     One fine, sunny day in July...
  
     THAT'S THE ONE! NOT.
     Let's just get this story started already.

      Okay, so a few days ago mom an dad gave Lili and Cristina the permission to go back here with me (the back of the living room. I have my own little space just for me, the rest of the house for the owners. I mean, who wants my hair all over the place? They don't. So that's what "the back" means) and Cristina thought that my cage was so interesting. At the time, I didn't notice, because I was playing with Lili. But, once I finished playing with Lili, my attention was on Cristina. She kept opening and closing my cage, each time putting her foot in and out. I assumed that she wanted me to go into the cage. So I did, going in and out each time (One time I got trapped, and of course Cristina freed me.). But as you know, assuming can be wrong, and because I assumed, I realized something. Cristina didn't want me to go in the cage, but her! So, Lili brought her into there with her, mommy scolded them, and I was so lonely. But then they came back. Cristina threw my ball, and Lili threw my KONG toy.  It was a funny day!

     This is how Roxy has felt the past few days. 

     Why? Because she has finally had something that she never thought she would get to try.


     Chicken.

      I know, you're probably thinking, "Your dog has never had chicken and she's turning 2 years old in 3 days? That's insane!". Actually, it's not. We don't want Roxy to be too spoiled and always watching us while we're eating. It's quite annoying really. I mean, they look at you while you're eating, I don't know, spaghetti and meatballs, for instance. And they just stare at you. And stare. And they're just looking at you like:

                                   "I know you're going to give me that meatball"

     And you're just like:

                                         "I can't. I'm starving. But, you know what..."
     Then it ends like this:

                                   " Great meatball! Now let's repeat this whole
                                   process all over again!"
     
      And THAT'S why we don't give Roxy human food, and stick to her favorite dog food, Gravy Train. (#notsponsored) 

      So, ANYWHO... We gave Roxy some pieces of chicken and she basically INHALED the chicken like it was oxygen or something. Seriously! 

      So now she is super happy, and is hoping to get some more of this "heavenly treat", which is really normal food to us.
